I'd rather read Poe any day, at least when he gets bogged down in description it is at least MEANINGFUL!
...but man could he drink you under the table.
He should have killed himself before writing this book.
He liked short sentences. Sentences that were plain. Plain like a cornfield under snow. Like a torreador in a burlap bag.
